Films at the click of a mouse!

The digital archives of both documentaries as well as feature films have been set up at Goa. The archives, the first of its kind, will house documentaries and features films from across the world. As of now, there are about 130 films of various languages such as Assamese, Bengali, English, Marathi, Portuguese, Hindi, Konkani, French and Italian have been stored on their server. These films can now be accessed by a click of the mouse.

This project is an initiative of the Goa-Government’s Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG). The server was developed by National Informatics Centre (NIC). According to Manoj Srivastava, the Chief Executive Officer of ESG, the server can store up to 10,000 films.
